Hi, I am Susan DeVictor

I am an award winning natural light and flash photographer serving the Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, and Bradenton communities. Please enjoy my galleries and get a feel for the ever-evolving style and vibe of Susan Leigh Visual Storytelling.

I began my photography journey in high school, starting with film on a completely manual Pentax K-1000. My first subject obsession was marine life and I spent years photographing underwater critters, both above and below water. Trying to chase and photograph an octopus is almost as challenging as a toddler!

I found the joy of photographing humans when my own children were in front of my lens. After years of photographing my kids and the children of friends and family, SLVS emerged and the storytelling began. I strive to continue to capture the natural interaction and personality of my clients and their families.

My artistic philosophy is centered on client satisfaction. I want to make my subjects happy and enjoy the session experience. I find that in order to achieve this they must interact naturally, be themselves, and work in an environmental setting that puts everyone at ease. I love to try new things - let's entertain ideas for lifestyle sessions and push the edge of the creative envelope together.
